Description  -


The products of the Mobil Rarus SHC™ 1026 are high-performance air compressor oils. They have been developed for the lubrication of heavily loaded screw and cell air compressors. They are particularly suitable for heavy operating conditions where lubricants based on mineral oil do not meet the expectations, Eg under severe operating conditions with high compressor end temperatures or when extended oil change intervals are desired. The oils were treated with application-specific wax-free synthetic hydrocarbons and a demanding. Additive system that provides protection against oxidation and thermal degradation. These oils are far superior to petroleum-based air compressor oils. They provide excellent plant protection and reliability for compressors operated under conditions where other air compressor oils do not meet expectations. The Mobil Rarus SHC 1026 offers excellent wear protection and excellent protection against oxidation and thermal degradation and is far superior to mineral oils. Thanks to their unique formulation, they can help to minimize maintenance costs and pressure deposits. Its high viscosity index ensures effective lubrication at high temperatures.

Compared to mineral-based products, Mobil Rarus SHC 1026 lubricants significantly reduce the risk of fire and explosions. They are characterized by the practical prevention of deposits and higher autogenous ignition temperatures and improve both performance and safety. Its exceptional demulsifying power reduces problems caused by emulsions and extends filter life. The maintenance costs can be reduced.


Application  -



The Mobil Rarus SHC 1026 oils have been developed especially for screw and cell compressors. They are particularly effective at high temperatures with pressure-side temperatures of up to 200 ° C. The oils of the Rarus SHC 1026 are recommended for systems which in the past have shown short oil life, low valve performance or deposits. They are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction as well as conventional mineral oil-based lubricants. However, admixture of other oils may reduce their overall performance.

The oils of the Mobil Rarus SHC 1026 are not recommended for use in compressors of breathing air and should not be in one stage.

The following types of compressor applications have shown excellent results with the oils of the Mobil Rarus SHC 1026:
·         Mainly recommended for screw and cell air compressors.
·         Very effective for screw compressors with oil injection cooling.
·         Installations operated under severe conditions
·         Multi-stage compressors, which have shown excessive decomposition of oil-based oil in the past
