EUDB is based on a high refined base oil and a lithium thickener. The product´s
ageing resistance, the wear protection and anti-corrosion protection is much
improved by selected additives.

EUDB contains no solids and has a strong water resistance. Due to its advanced
mechanical stability, Shell GadusRail S3 EUDB allows extremely high running
performances.

EUDB is used in rail vehicles like freight wagons, passenger wagons or rail
cars.

This grease is used by
the German and Italian Railways and by bearing or rolling stock OEMs supplying
to the German or Italian Railways.

EUDB is equivalent to the European lubricating grease specification EN 12081
class a for railway axle boxes operating up to a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
