Description -
CONTRAM CB 3 is a detergent-disinfectant fluid without
Formaldehyde for machine tools containing exhausted aqueous
emulsions-solutions. CONTRAM ™ CB-3 offers a broad spectrum of action
against bacteria, yeasts and fungi. CONTRAM
™ CB-3 is useful mixed with working liquids for cleaning and disinfecting
single units and central metal processing systems. CONTRAM ™ CB-3 causes
an increase in the alkalinity and stability of the emulsion. The correct
use of CONTRAM ™ CB-3 is part of a complete program for the management of
processing fluids and helps to reduce the microbial pollution of the emulsion.
CONTRAM™ CB- 3 is a system cleaner based on ionic and non-ionic
surfactants in combination with anti-microbial agents. This product has
excellent soil removing and suspending properties. CONTRAM™ CB3 has broad
spectrum antimicrobial efficiency against bacteria, yeast and fungi.CONTRAM™
CB- 3 does not contain alkyl phenols or metal complexing agents.When provisions
of the European Chemicals Bureau's Biocidal Products Directive (BPD) take full
effect, antimicrobial system cleaners such as CONTRAM™ CB- 3 will require
registration as biocidal products. Lubrizol's commitment to support CONTRAM™
CB- 3 in the BPD eliminates the burden and cost of registering individual
system cleaner products, and ensures regulatory compliance and long-term
availability.
Total CONTRAM CB-3 is a concentrated liquid,
made up of nonylphenol-free surfactants, triazine-free biocide agents,
stabilizing additives and effective corrosion inhibitors; specifically
designed for the washing and disinfection of machine tool circuits and tanks,
containing emulsions or aqueous solutions used for metal processing.
Applications -

CONTRAM CB-3 has been
developed especially for the cleaning of machine tools before draining.

CONTRAM CB-3 is
recommended for the cleaning of single units and central systems.
·
Recommended
proportions : 1 – 3 % depending on the extent of soiling.
·
Cleaning cutting tools
before changing oil.
·
Recommended for
individual tanks and centralized systems.
·
After addition of
CONTRAM CB-3 it is possible to continue machining without interruption for 8 –
24 hours. If the machining is stopped, a turnover time of minimum 8 hours or
even more is recommended. After draining, the system should be flushed
carefully with fresh water.
