Description -
FUCHS ECOCOOL R – FERROSTAR MB is a
premiumquality, biocide-free, mineral oil-based, water-miscible cutting
fluid,optimized for machining of cast iron, nodular cast iron and steel.ECOCOOL
R – FERROSTAR MB produces a longlife, stable, finely dispers emulsion when
mixed with water. The use of high-quality and carefully matched base oils,
emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors and other additives give ECOCOOL R –
FERROSTAR MB extraordinary properties.
ECOCOOL R
FERROSTAR is a premium quality, mineral oil based, boron and biocide
free, water miscible grinding and cutting fluid, optimised for machining of
cast iron, nodular cast iron, and steel. Produces a long-life, stable, finely
dispersed emulsion when mixed with water. The use of high quality and carefully
matched base oils, emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors and other additives give
ECOCOOL R - FERROSTAR extraordinary properties. In addition, the use of special
primary amines in ECOCOOL R - FERROSTAR offers good skin compatibility even at
high pH values. Free of secondary alkanolamines and alkanolamides.Can be used
for all roughing and final finishing operations on cast iron steel.
To optimise service life, the machine should
be flushed thoroughly using RENOCLEAN SMC (see separate data sheet) prior to
recharging with fresh fluid. As with all modern cutting fluids, concentration
control is of paramount importance, therefore regular check by use of a
refractometer is recommended for this product. It should be noted that the
individual product refractometer correction factor should always be used to
ensure accuracy. A comprehensive range of coolant monitoring and maintenance

Application -
ECOCOOL R - FERROSTAR can be used
for all roughing and final finishing operations on cast iron steel. For
fresh-fill we recommend a water hardness of at least 10°dH.
